Thanks for visiting my blog about Polo, People and Places. I want to share with you who I am and why I started PoloPeoplePlaces.com :
My name is Diana and I am a polo enthusiast and traveller of the world.
My actual polo skills are unfortunately still very limited, but what I lack in skills I make up for in passion and enthusiasm for polo. I also love traveling and exploring new cultures and places, getting to know different people with diverse backgrounds and stories to tell.
My story is (in very short) the following: I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, my parents are a mix of Brazilian/British and Danish and I have lived in Brazil, Denmark, Spain, Buenos Aires, USA, Dubai, and Bahrain. When I started this blog my “day job” was as a stewardess on a private jet and my time off was also spent traveling around the world, but to meet up with family and friends, watching and learning polo. My passion for polo has taken me all over the world, from Dubai where I was the Marketing Executive at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club, to Sotogrande, where I worked on a campaign with Polo Valley, and the US where I lead the Marketing team for Running Iron Creative working on The Polo Channel, Polo Fest, World Polo League and more. I now run my own marketing and advertising agency Proven Direction, where we work with clients in and outside the polo world.
I started this blog to share my enthusiasm and interest in polo and travel and I hope to inspire others. I am sharing my experiences in learning how to play polo in various corners of the world and my goal is to inspire other girls (and boys) to get up from the sidelines and hop on a horse and give polo a try!
Comments, recommendations, or questions are more than welcome in the comments fields of the blog posts, or in a contact form. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy my blog 🙂
